Job Description:
Spanish Teacher
Mastery Charter Schools is seeking highly qualified Spanish teacher to teach at our middle/high schools in Philadelphia. Teachers will be responsible for establishing classroom routines and student instruction as well as follow through with consistency. Teachers will also be responsible for developing effective lesson plans, homework assignments and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in subject matter that one wishes to teach or at least two years related teaching experience
- Must have or be working towards a Pennsylvania Teacher Certification
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a non-traditional, inner-city environment
- Outstanding instructional skills, including the ability to motivate and challenge students and maintain an orderly classroom environment
- Demonstrated expertise in subject area
- A strong sense of personal accountability for student achievement
- A belief that all students should be held to high academic standards
- The ability to communicate effectively with parents
- Demonstrated professionalism and responsibility, and a strong work ethic
