READING SPECIALIST The Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School is a fast-growing, state-wide, public K-12 cyber charter school with 2,100 students.Visit www.palcs.org to learn more about the PA Leadership Charter School.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* PA Certified Reading Specialist
* Work collaboratively in a non-traditional, progressive teaching environment
* MS Word, Power point, Excel and Internet skills
* Good communication skills
* Some travel for PSSA testing
* Will work out of the West Chester office on all school days
* Committed to high expectations for students, high support for students and a complete focus on student performance.
Reading Specialist Teacher Responsibilites:
Applicants will be offering resource level support to a caseload of students (about 25 students per caseload).Resource support will be provided via modifications to regular education teacher's assignments, reducing workload to an appropriate level to ensure academic success, pacing a student and setting them up with a specific schedule of what needs to be completed each day to stay on track academically, and one-on-one instruction via various technological capabilities. Applicants will also be required to participate in IEP meetings and also complete a portion of the IEP for each of their students.
