Job Description:
Special Education Teacher - Part Time
A small, public, cyber charter school in Bryn Mawr is looking for a part-time Special Education Teacher. This Special Education Teacher is responsible for developing and writing IEP's; providing support to identified students via the computer and phone; working collaboratively with staff to develop accommodation and modifications of the curriculum; and communicating with parents on a regular basis.
We are seeking a candidate with strong IEP writing skills; knowledge of state & federal regulations, legal issues and procedures related to provision of special services in charter schools; and knowledge and experience related to inclusion. Also required is knowledge of computers/technology. Candidate should have excellent written communication and verbal communication skills.
Candidate must have at least a Level I PA Special Education certification. Level II is preferred. Additional certification in core subject area would also be preferred.
