Description:
United Services is a NAEYC accredited inclusive preschool for children with and without special needs. We are seeking a full time specialized classroom instructor (SCI) for a school year plus summer schedule in our Intensive Behavior Intervention Classroom (IBIC). Under the direct supervision of the ECSE teacher and Autism/Behavior Specialist, the SCI performs varied assignments to benefit the overall programming of the students. This involves direct 1:1 discrete trial instruction with students as well as assisting in the preparation of classroom materials, assisting with set-up and clean up, participating in the development of classroom activities and weekly planning with the ECSE and autism/behavior specialist. The IBIC SCI is an active participant in the classroom and shares the tasks of maintaining the safety of the children and keeping the conditions of the materials sanitary. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Hours are M,T,Th,F 8:30-3:30 and W 8:30-12:30. Position is available at our St. Peters location.
