Description:
High school speech and theater instructor for the 2008-2009 school year at Imagine Schools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated. Plan, organize and direct High School productions. Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students. Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals - establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students. Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports. Is readily available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day. Teach district approved curriculum in a positive classroom environment. You will be working with a professional staff.

Must hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri teaching certificate in the area of speech/theatre at the secondary school level.

This is a full-time position beginning August 2008.
