Description:
The Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis is looking for an Assistant Lead Flight Director. Part-time (25-3o hours/week)
Responsibilities:

-Manage weekend programs, including occasional Sundays
-Facilitate simulated space missions and other programs for schools, community, public and corporate groups on weekdays and weekends.
-Set up and maintain weekend program inventory
-Restock gift shop on weekends
-Assist with maintaining simulators and mission supplies
-Represent the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis at business fairs, meetings, conferences and other related activities as needed
-Attend regular staff meetings
-Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree preferred
-Teaching experience in formal or informal education
-Strong presentation, communication (both oral and written), and organization skills
-Demonstrated interest in space science preferred
-Comfortable working with technology
-Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults
-Demonstrated ability to take initiative in the work environment
-Demonstrated ability to work successfully both as part of a team and independently
-Dynamic, outgoing and creative personality
-Available to work 2-3 weekdays/week and most weekends, including occasional Sundays

Physical requirements:
Must be ambulatory to move around all areas of the simulators.
