Description:
LEAD FLIGHT DIRECTOR (full-time)

Responsible for conducting missions, supervising part-time Flight Directors, assisting with trainings, workshops and other related programs.

-Conduct missions for schools, community, public and corporate groups
-Schedule and supervise part-time Flight Directors and Assistant Lead Flight Director
-Schedule missions and programs
-Assist in the planning and implementation of teacher trainings, workshops and related activities
-Conduct on and off-site workshops and other programs as needed
-Develop and implement improvements to mission operations and materials as needed
-Maintain mission supply inventory
-Maintain and clean simulators
-Assist with marketing efforts to book missions and other related activities
-Represent the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis at business fairs, meetings, conferences and other related activities as needed
-Attend regular staff meetings
-Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree
-Teaching experience in formal or informal education
-Strong presentation, communication (both oral and written), and organization skills
-Demonstrated interest in space science preferred
-Comfortable working with technology
-Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults
-Demonstrated ability to take initiative in the work environment
-Demonstrated ability to work successfully both as part of a team and independently
-Dynamic, outgoing and creative personality
-Available to work occasional evenings and weekends

Physical requirements: Must be ambulatory to move around all areas of the simulators.

Salary:Commensurate with experience, minimum $30,000
