Description:
Certified High School Speech/Drama teacher needed for the 2008-2009 school year.
-Plan and deliver instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assigned and that adheres to the Imagine Schools mission and vision
-Conducts assessments that are research based and appropriate for the students assigned.
-Provides corrective feedback to students and re-teaches as necessary to ensure that the students have mastered the objectives.
-Be an active participant in our Professional Learning Communities and serve on at least one school-wide task force.
-Communicate regularly with parents
-Consult with other school staff as necessary to complete the functions of the position
-Makes purposeful and appropriate lesson plans that provide for effective teaching strategies and maximizes time on task.
-Demonstrates a strong grasp of subject matter
-Develops, in accordance with academy's guidelines, reasonable classroom expecations for behavior and appropriate techniques that are consistently applied.
-Focus on positive character development
-Able to incorporate Integrity, Justice and Fun into all aspects of school life.
-Work effectively and efficiently within a team or department.
-Participates in meetings as requested.
