Description:
Long-term substitute teacher position from 8/27/08-11/07/08 for general music, instrumental and choral in a preschool through eighth grade school. All classes are taught in the same building so there is no need to travel. General music is taught to all students once a week. In grades one through eight, general music classes are forty-five minutes long. Kindergarten and preschool general music classes are twenty to twenty-five minutes long.
The instrumental program at Fields Memorial School begins in fourth grade and continues through eighth. Instrumental lessons are given in like-instrument groups for twenty minutes once a week. Full ensemble rehearsals are forty-five minutes once or twice a week depending on the grade level. Chorus is a full ensemble class that meets once a week.
State of CT Certification in Music (049) required.
