Classroom Teacher

Job Description:
Essential Functions:
-Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Federal and State Compliance standards related to the Special Education.
-Plan and implement programs/lessons to meet individual needs, interests, and strengths of students with disabilities.
-Experience writing IEP's and participating in Intervention Team meetings.
-Modify the general education curriculum to accommodate different ability levels and learning styles.
-Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers to ensure instructional accommodations are implemented effectively.
-Maintain accurate and timely completion of student records as required by law, district policies and administrative regulations.
-Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
-Assess students' special needs and collaborates with school services and community agencies.
-Maintain compliance with confidentiality concerning students and parents.
-Assess the progress and accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
-Modifies own professional development plan to improve instructional performance and to promote student learning.
-Ability to work collaboratively with students, parent and colleagues
-Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics.

The successful candidate will possess the following credentials:
-Valid MO certification (MILD/MOD Cross Categorical, K-12)
-BA degree or higher
-Previous experience preferred
-Professional work-related references
-Familiarity with a rural school environment
-Must be US citizen
