Job Description:
Join one of the most trusted and effective special education teams in Connecticut as Vice President of Education Services!
Wheeler Clinic seeks a dynamic and experienced administrator to lead a department of 150 talented education and behavioral health professionals in providing innovative, state-of-the-art programs and services to special needs children and families. This is a unique opportunity to operate a school within a large multi-service behavioral health organization, with a wide array of available services and opportunities for linkages.
We are seeking an individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, teamwork and supervisory skills, high energy, proven creativity in developing programs, operational strength and commitment to evidence-based practice. Expertise in financial management, budgeting and forecasting are also important.
Candidates must have at least 15 years experience in special education with increasing supervisory and leadership responsibilities. Candidates must hold current Connecticut educator certification for intermediate administration and supervision and an additional specialty endorsement or be eligible for the required Connecticut certification.
