Job Description:
The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) will identify, evaluate and provide speech intervention for communicatively handicapped students. The Speech and Language Pathologist will help collaborate with general and special education teachers and related service personnel to support student access to the general education curriculum. The SLP will also be responsible for the development and implementation of IEP goals across a continuum of settings. Experience with students requiring assistive technology or augmentative communication programs is preferred, but not required. Clinical Fellowship Year supervision is available.
A valid Connecticut certification for Speech and Language Pathologist (endorsement #061) is required. A Speech-Language Pathology License (or preapproval pending completion of one supervised year of full-time employment) with the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health is also required.
