Job Description:
TEACHER ASSISTANT - SPECIAL EDUCATION
REQUIREMENTS:Supports PreK and/or Grade Level Teacher(s);
Implement all aspects of the IEP under the Supervision of the Special Education Teacher and Other Related Service Personnel may include Lifting, Transporting and Supporting Activities of Daily Living and Implementing the Students Behavior Intervention Plan, Individualized Health Plan As Needed; Knowledge of Child Development and Ability to Supervise Children Effectively; Previous Experience with Children with Special Needs, including Autism; Should Demonstrate Good Oral and Written Communication Skills and Clerical Ability; Minimum of a two-year advanced degree and/or passing ParaPro Assessment.
Hours: 7.17 Per Day, 35.85 Hours Per Week, remainder of 2009/10 school year.
Salary: Per CSEA Contract; Please submit letter of interest, three letters of recommendations and copies of transcripts and/or parapro assessment.
