Job Description:
Teacher Intern - Montessori Magnet School at Annie Fisher.
Candidates with AMI/AMS training or with the intent to pursue teaching certification or a Master's degree preferred. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree. Applicants must be working toward certification in teaching or a master's degree.
1. Commitment to the mission of Montessori Magnet school at Annie Fisher.
2. Willingness to meet calendar requirements.
3. Commitment to the development of excellence in instruction practices in a diverse environment.
4. Flexibility in daily assignments.
5. Openness to collaboration and teamwork.
6. Comfort with diversity and working with families
7. Skills and interest beyond the traditional subject matter that would lend themselves to leading extra-curricular projects (e.g. acting, crafts, cooking, second langauage, art, music).
8 Interest in learing to create real world applications
9. Interest in learning to infuse critical and creative thinking skills into the curricular content.
10. Interest in working in a school environment that employs the use of cooperative learning, multicultural education, family education, interdisciplinary curriculum development, multi-age teaching, and the use of math manipulatives in its instructional practice.
- Annual stipend of $1,200 per month.
