POSITION: Elementary Spanish Teacher (Grades 3-5)
BUILDING: Elementary

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
- Spanish Major.
- Elementary Endorsement in Spanish.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Knowledgabe in the National and Michigan World Language Standards and Benchmarks.
- Knowledge of elementary teaching methodology and child development.
- Skilled at using world language as content related instruction.
- Skilled at utilizing literature and writing to enhance learning in all subjects.
- Willingness to participate in curriculum development and school improvement conmmittees.
- An appreciation for diversity.
- Positive, creative, energetic, enthusiastic, flexible person who will be able to communicate with the elementary administrators, teachers and parents.
- Must meet Highly Qualified Standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver instruction in Spanish language and culture to students in grades 3-5.
- Write curriculum for elementary Spanish program.
- Identify and create instructional materials.
- Assess student proficiency.
- Communicate about the program with parents through email, website, newsletters and by phone.
- Other duties as assigned.
