Job Description:
The Baxter Community School District is seeking 1 full-time energetic and team-oriented professional to assume the responsibilities of secondary business education instructor beginning 2nd semester of the 2008-09 school year. Solid preparation and enthusiasm for teaching a must. Coaching duties also available. Baxter Community School District, the "HEART" of Baxter, Iowa, exemplifies Midwestern values in providing individual opportunities for its students. A unique blend of support allows our progressive K-12 facility to include a school/community media center and library, a shared community recreation area, and Baxter Early Learning Center, a comprehensive, community-supported child care/preschool center. Our renovated and well-maintained facility retains the classic historical image of a small community school. In addition, we are currently in our second year enjoying a new facility addition, which includes elementary classrooms, gymnasium, commons/kitchen area as well as a school/community wellness/fitness center. While the advantages of being centrally located among the four cities of Des Moines, Ames, Marshalltown, and Newton are many, we continue to strive to preserve our small-town quality of life and high-quality education.
