Description:
SELF-CONTAINED SP.ED. TEACHER

Candidate must be familiar with teaching and behavior management strategies for students diagnosed with emotional disturbance. Must have a focused and structured approach to teaching, while understanding the importance of creating a caring, supportive environment in the classroom. Candidate should be comfortable working with students from upper elementary age through high school, and should possess the skills necessary to implement an individualized curriculum. Attention to detail, clear understanding of the IEP process, computer literacy, maturity, and commitment are desired teacher qualities. MIssouri Special Education certification is required.
