The Community Education Alliance of West Philadelphia is a non-profit organization that, in partnership with the Belmont Charter School, has adopted the community of Belmont, one of the city's most impoverished neighborhoods. Our unique partnership provides the highest quality academics and extensive social service programs to combat the conditions inherent in a life of poverty. As a neighborhood 1-8th charter school, Belmont genuinely focuses on meeting the needs of each individual child. Our special education model is highly collaborative, combining the talents and energy of certified learning support and resource room teachers with that of licensed therapists, school psychologists and social workers. Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years related teaching experience
- Must have or be working towards a Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher Certification
- Excellent instructional and classroom management skills
- Previous experience working in an urban setting or with at-risk youth
- The ability to communicate effectively with parents
- Highly motivated with a positive attitude
