Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking both full-time and part-time dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to the lead teacher in a classroom setting, assisting with lesson implementation, student supervision, and creating a positive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for early childhood education and experience working with students of all abilities.
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide individualized attention and support to students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Help prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities
- Supervise students during class time, recess, and other school activities
- Assist with maintaining accurate student records and progress reports
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a preschool or early childhood education setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional coursework or certification in early childhood education is preferred
