Job Description:
Valle Catholic Schools is currently accepting applications for a School Counselor grades K-12 (serving 300 students) for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants must possess current valid counselor certification or be actively working on proper certification. The building principals supervise this position. This position will assist with monitoring the progress of high school students through transcript audits, grade monitoring, and college and career planning to include FAFSA assistance. The ability to effectively communicate with parents and guardians will be key to this role. This position will provide support for the A Plus Coordinator, be involved in the scholarships and awards process, assist with the monitoring and utilizing of the student information system and participate in creating the master schedule. In addition, applicants are expected to provide social and emotional support/lessons for K-12 students.

- Consult with students, parents, and staff regarding the developmental needs of students.
- Contribute, as a team member, in the curriculum offerings, student needs, student assessment activities (individual and group), and school climate in assigned building(s).
- Provide resources, as appropriate, to individuals who need or seek information regarding internal or external guidance.
- Provide guidance and counseling services to students in assigned buildings(s).
