The Substitute Teacher at Missouri Military Academy provides temporary instructional support by following lesson plans and maintaining an organized, respectful classroom environment in alignment with the academy's values, standards, and mission. This role requires flexibility, strong classroom management, and an understanding of the unique structure and discipline of a military school.

This role requires flexibility, strong classroom management, and an understanding of the unique structure and discipline of a military school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities prepared by the regular teacher.
- Engage students in active learning and ensure they remain on task.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive, respectful learning environment that reflects the values of the academy.
- Uphold the academy's standards, codes of conduct, and traditions in all classroom activities.
- Enforce attendance, dress code, and other school policies.
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher about student progress and behavior during the period of substitution.
- Collaborate with other staff or administration as needed to address classroom or cadet issues.

- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (preferred).
- Valid teaching certification or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Prior teaching or classroom management experience, particularly in a structured or disciplined environment.
- Familiarity with military culture or experience in a military school setting (preferred).
