College and Career Counselor - Part-time - Lindbergh High School  
  • First Day: 8/4/2025
  • Base Teacher's Salary of $22,373 for 2025-2026 School Year

  • Required Missouri Certificate: Counselor 7-12
Summary: The school guidance program assists students in becoming responsible adults. Career plans are developed, reviewed, and updated periodically in accordance with students’ post graduation educational and occupational goals. Continuous attention is given to assisting students to develop competence in decision-making, career planning, working with others, and taking responsibility for their own behavior.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
  • Counsels groups or individual students through the development of educational and career plans.
  • Consults with teachers, staff and parents regarding meeting the developmental or educational needs of students.
  • Conducts counseling activities in the classroom in conjunction with administration and teachers.
  • Help with test coordinator for Standardized Achievement Tests; Proctors exams (ASPIRE) (ACT)
  • Supporting the overall district’s educational program through general consultation activities and committee work
  • Assist with the placement of students in appropriate career and educational settings.
  • Facilitate informational evening sessions for parents regarding financial aid, Advanced Placement coursework, and college night.
  • Support all programs designed to prepare students for their post-high school plan and support programs that accrue credit/certification while in
  • high school.
  • Other duties as assigned by building principal.
Education and Experience:
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • School Counseling experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in mediation & relationship building
  • Qualified to administer individual IQ tests
  • Knowledge of Missouri’s Model Guidance Program
