Agriculture 
The Career & Technology Center at Fort Osage is accepting applications for an Agriculture Instructor and FFA Advisor.
 
The preferred candidate has a degree in Agriculture Education and a current DESE issued teaching certificate in Ag. Ed 9-12.
 
Required to Teach at Career and Technology Center:
  • Demonstration of highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude
  • Superior organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Solid computer software skills
  • Associate's Degree or higher

 
This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.  Salary is based on the adopted salary schedule for the 24-25 school year at this time (starting salary for teachers with a Bachelor's degree= $44,200). We accept all previous years in certificated teaching roles as steps on the salary schedule.  The Fort Osage School District prioritizes a highly competitive salary schedule, with additional benefits including optional fully paid health insurance, career ladder stipends (up to $5,000), extra duty stipend opportunities and more.   New teachers mentor program available for all first and second year teachers.

Career Technical Teacher
 
The job of Career Technical Teacher is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as a career and/or technical skills teacher(e.g. Emergency Medical Technician, Construction, Culinary Arts, Automotive, Fire Science, etc.) with specific responsibility for instruction based on state and national curriculum and standards that prepares students to enter the work force and/or purse continuing education; providing opportunities for authentic outcomes; supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.
This job reports to the Director of the Career & Technology Center
