Starting pay for Elementary School Assistant Principal is 89,000.00 per year

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

New Mexico Administrative License or eligibility
Master’s Degree with hours in Education Administration
Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience
Assistant Principal or Instructional Coach experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and instruction
Evidence of leadership ability necessary for the improvement of instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Knowledge of special programs, including Special Education and Title I
Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements
