Job Description:
                                                            The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of:
                                                                                                3rd-5th Grade School Counselor for 2026-2027
 
Qualifications: Minimum of a Master's' Degree plus proper certification in Counseling or temporary authorization certification.

Length of Contract: 179 Day Calendar with 10 Extended Days

Salary: Based upon placement of certified salary schedule plus extended contract days. 

The successful candidate will be able to: 

• Articulate an understanding of a comprehensive school counseling program.
• Facilitate effective whole group, small group, and individual counseling sessions.
• Demonstrate a strong background with responsive services.
• Partner and collaborate with families to meet individual student needs.
• Demonstrate experience working with at-risk students.
• Articulate a plan to work collaboratively with staff and outside agencies to support student learning.
• Demonstrate effective teaching experience at the elementary level. (Preferred)
• Describe their experience with standardized testing.
• Possess a familiarity with virtual programs.
