The Administrative Assistant - Facilities, will provide clerical support to administrators and other staff members to ensure a smooth operation of the maintenance and custodial departments.

Position: 12-month position (non-exempt)
Salary: $18.00 - $22.00
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Two (2) years clerical expeience
- Bachelors degree or college credits, preferred
- Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
- Ability to follow written and oral communication
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to safeguard confidential information
- Strong computer skills including word processing, working with spreadsheets and databases (Microsoft Office and Google Suite)
- Perform general office duties including answering phones, greeting public, typing, filing, and sorting.
- Composes documents (e.g., correspondence, bulletins, reports) for Building Administrator or other staff for the purpose of requesting or providing information, confirming events, etc.
- Maintain operations for district key entry system.
- Maintain and publish accurate and up-to-date events calendars utilizing web software to post and update.
- Provide administrative support to custodial department with ordering, vendors, and logistics.
- Attends meetings as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Assists in maintaining the daily/weekly/monthly calendar for the purpose of coordinating the scheduling of work-related appointments, activities, meetings, etc.
- Assists in overseeing workload of the Department Head for the purpose of maximizing efficiency and meeting operational requirements.
- Assists in maintaining documents, files and records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
- Answers telephone calls, and provide district/facillities information to assist callers.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the school.
- Be knowledgeable about and supportive of administrative procedures and directives.
- Deal tactfully with staff, students, parents and the public.
- Manage special project as assigned by Director.
- Make professional development arrangements for Maintenance staff and director.
- Perform other functions as assigned by the Director/Superintendent of Schools.
