Director of Enrollment, Marketing and Advancement
St. Gregory the Great School Danbury, CT 

The Director of Enrollment, Marketing and Advancement spearheads efforts to advance the mission of the school through strategic enrollment, marketing and advancement and work with school leadership to increase enrollment and to grow the annual fund. The Director reports to the principal. 
The Director manages recruitment, retention, marketing and advancement initiatives.  School communications including web, print, photography and video fall within this role as needed and include curating and distributing weekly school newsletters and additional communications as requested.  Creating and partnering with a strong core of volunteers is essential to the position.   Developing and maintaining active relationships with School Advisory Board members, the Home School Association, Parent and Student Ambassadors, Alumni, Parishioners, the larger community as well as faculty and staff is critical to the role. 
This is a part time 12-month position. (24 hours/week) 

Responsibilities:
  
Enrollment
  • Develop and implement recruitment, admissions, and enrollment efforts that focus on the student and parent experience from first point of contact through graduation
  • Collaborate with school leadership & School Advisory Board members on the development and implementation of a marketing plan
  • Collaborate with Administrative Assistant
  • Develop and implement a targeted communications program to support enrollment and marketing efforts 
  • Track and report prospective student interest and current student annual registration data as well as exit interviews
  • Oversee organization of special events related to enrollment and retention including open houses, tours, and the welcome back to school picnic 
  • Contribute to development of school-wide retention program, including the collection of metrics and intervention strategy initiatives
  • Help to develop a strong core of volunteers to contribute to school enrollment and marketing initiatives
  • Share information on tuition assistance and affordability
  • Oversee school Ambassador programs including students, parents and parishes.
  • Represent the school at community events as needed
  • Participate in Diocesan-sponsored professional development opportunities
Marketing 
  • Oversee the development of marketing materials to be current, impactful and aligned with the school’s mission
  • Develop and implement a targeted constituent relations program to engage the larger school community with the school’s mission and vision
  • Develop and implement the annual marketing plan 
  • Develop an annual Marketing Calendar
  • Manage internal and external school communications: school website and newsletter
  • Assess marketing strategies annually
Advancement
  • Assist the Principal with developing and implementing strategic development campaigns, including the annual fund
  • Directs and maintains a comprehensive and accurate fundraising data base to include all alumni records and all past and prospective donors.
  • Directs and manages procedures and documentation for gift receipting.
  • Communicates donor wishes and requirements for all fund expenditures.
  • Responsible for the proper documentation regarding matching gifts.
  • Serves as part of the web development team and assists with the development of necessary web pages for fundraising.
  • Meet monthly with School Bookkeeper to ensure accounts receivable data entries
  • Identify and secure parent and alumni volunteers to contribute to development efforts
  • Work with the Principal to develop and plan appropriate communication strategies, branding, promotional materials for fundraising/annual fund
  • Serve as an active liaison and member of Advisory Board Advancement Committee
  • Serve as a public spokesperson for SGS to parents, students, etc., as needed by the Principal
  • Analyze donor data base to provide insight and reports on all constituents, especially alumni
  • Work with the Principal on developing a viable, detailed annual Advancement Plan
Qualifications
  • Strong commitment to Catholic education and to the mission of the school
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills both one-on-one and in public audiences
  • Highly organized and high degree of initiative
  • Positive, “can do” attitude, flexibility, collaborative working-style, and attention to detail
  • Competent in use of technology
