Job Description:

Compensation: Salary range starting at $48,000 plus benefits
Reports to: Director of Technology
Terms of Employment: Twelve Months
Location: Branford High School
  • Bachelor’s degree recommended; preferred degree or certificate in educational/informational technology or equivalent experience in the area of technology.
  • Familiarity with technology in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Well-organized with demonstrated customer service experience.
  • Experience supporting users with a diverse range of needs and abilities. 
  • Experience managing local and web-based information systems
  • Maintain active driver’s license and vehicle.
  • Reports to the director of technology.
  • Provides technical assistance and support to students, teachers, coaches, and aides to perform education-related technology tasks. 
  • Manage, maintain, and inventory school owned mobile devices (e.g. Chromebooks, iPads, cellphones, etc.) and other hardware and software.
  • Installs/maintains all types of computer, media, audio/visual, and mobile operating systems and application programs.
  • Supports the technology, media, and audio-visual needs for a wide-range of school-based events.
  • Supports or provides technology related workshops and training for teachers and staff (before, during, and/or after school).
  • Coordinates hardware, software, and web-based service solutions.
  • Install all types of hardware such as imaging, hard drive replacement, RAM upgrades, thin clients monitor upgrades, etc.
  • Assist in service and maintenance of all local area and wide area networks: Windows AD based.
  • Plans yearly movement of equipment for obsolescence and repair.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Technology, Superintendent, Building Principal or his/her designee.
  • Contributes regularly to support colleagues in the Technology Department to ensure consistent delivery of district assets and software.
  • Adheres to Code of Conduct established under Board of Education policies.
  • Adheres to the Branford Public Schools Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Complies with Federal and State Laws and Regulations.
  • Acts in accordance with Central Office directives.
