ITS Department Operations Facilitator
Salary Full-Time Staff, Unaffiliated

Receives, disseminates and directly expedites incoming end-user/vendor communications to department management and relevant department divisions. Directly performs, facilitates and expedites technical/operational matters in support of the ITS department and the District mission as assigned.  Performs basic technology troubleshooting and assists in maintaining help desk knowledge systems for problem resolution in support of end users.

  • Acts as point of contact for incoming department communications, including answering the phone, voicemail, e-mail, instant messaging (Teams), social media and other designated communications platforms.
  • Provides direct technical and operational support to the department divisions as directed.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting steps using provided knowledge systems, triages and escalates as needed.
  • Performs Help Desk duties and Academic Support Team coverage as needed and/or assigned.
  • Facilitates operations, projects, and deliverables under the direction of department management.
  • Assists with the management of vendor partners interactions and deployments with District facilities/staff.
  • Assists the department in the upkeep of District asset management and department on-hand stock inventory.
  • Tracks, receives and maintains department mail and equipment orders with shipping vendors.
  • Assists in maintaining and developing the department’s Help Desk system, documentation and systems,
  • Assists in maintaining billing, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing and interactions with District vendors as assigned. May act as courier of payments between different buildings/departments as needed.
  • Assists with physical inventory management for department, school and District owned hardware, software and accessories stock and property lifecycle through the District asset management system.
  • Collaborates with team members to achieve department and organizational goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology Services or designee.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in business environment, information technology preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in information technology, business management or communications.
  • Ability to escalate technical matters with consciousness of user needs relative to the District’s mission.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Office products, and office productivity applications.
  • Basic experience with Windows, Apple IOS/MacOS and Android platforms.
  • Strong user communication and the ability to directly facilitate department operations.
  • Familiarity with the account life cycle and Active Directory or other directory services.
  • Multi-lingual candidates with experience in Spanish, Portuguese and/or Haitian Creole are preferred.
  • Reports to the Director of Information Technology Services or designee.
