Job Description:
We are searching for a certified special education teacher to join our dedicated and creative teaching team at Odyssey Community School, a 409 student public school for learners in grades PK - 8 in Manchester, CT. Odyssey is the first Connecticut public charter school (1997) with a distinguished history of excellence, outstanding student performance, and a learning community committed to meaningful core values. All teachers participate in the Connecticut Teacher Retirement system and we offer salary and benefits that are commensurate with all area public schools. We also offer an additional 403(b) matching contribution program for all employees. Odyssey's vibrant educational community is an ideal work environment for a teacher who is creative, flexible, and who will work collaboratively with a group of dedicated staff and students who have enrolled in Odyssey as a school of choice. We offer an early release for students each Friday to allow for weekly professional learning opportunities for all staff. In addition, our class sizes are no more than 20 students allowing for more individualized attention and support. Salary: $51,216-$104,492 commensurate with experience and degree

Professional learning for all staff: Every Friday from 1:00-3:00 PM and additional time for CTSEDS
