Job Description:
Parish Hill Middle/High School is seeking an organized, confidential, and compassionate Instructional Assistant for Special Education and/or classroom support. The IA works under the supervision of a certified teacher to support students during whole class and small group instruction as well as guiding individual students to reinforce reading, writing, math, and science skills. The IA will also assist with record-keeping to document student learning and progress. IAs assist with behavior management to minimize disruption and ensure students are on task. IAs may also provide for self-help needs of students. Responsibilities will include lunch or recess supervision. Previous experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Minimum educational requirements: Associate’s Degree or completion of 60 college credits or a passing score on the ETS/ParaPro Assessment Exam. Please send a letter of interest, resume, and letters of recommendations to sortiz@parishhill.org. Open till filled.
