Job Duties
Under the supervision of the location Food Service Assistant of a higher grade and the Food Service Coordinator the employee will perform a variety of semi-skilled duties in preparing and serving meals in a school kitchen.
Must be able to carry, lift, move or put away food, supplies and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Must have the stamina necessary for the efficient performance of duties.
Examples of duties:
Serves the correct portion of food in a school cafeteria and assists students in choosing food
Help prepare all meal components cook, wash, peel, weigh and portion fruits and vegetables for meal service
Maintains all sanitary and health standards:
Preforms related work as assigned
Transportation, must have valid driver’s license and a vehicle as employee
Will be sent to other locations when needed due to staff shortages
Attends staff meetings and in-service training's as required
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to work effectively with food service employees, staff and students
Friendly positive team player
Location: All Windsor Public Schools
Hours 8:30 to 1:30, must be able to adjust hours to support individual schools needs
