Location: The Speech Academy - Easton, CT
Special Education Teacher Position
The Speech Academy of Easton, CT, is an Approved Private Special Education Program. It serves students from 5 to 22 years of age in a learning environment that provides individualized instruction and services to support students in reaching their potential.
The person in the position will:
- Work under the direction of the Director to provide direct and indirect support to students in a positive environment
- Participate in the development and implementation of students' IEPs
- Instruct students in academic areas using a variety of techniques to address students' multi-sensory learning needs.
-Meet with the parents to discuss their student's progress and determine their priorities for their child now and in future planning.
- Other duties may be added depending on the needs of the program.
