Position: Long Term Substitute Teacher, Instrumental Music/General Music (Middle School)
Position Available: Anticipated 2/3/25 through end of 24-25 school year
School: Frank Ward Strong Middle School
Description of Position: Instrumental Music/General Music Teacher/Band Director for Grades 6-8. Directs and manages the overall instrumental program. Devise and implement the schedule for weekly instrumental lessons for all band students. Potential candidates must be energetic, enjoy working with students and be willing to strive for the highest quality of instrumental instruction.

Requirements:
- Certification in K-12 Music, 049 Endorsement
- Excellent conducting skills
- Knowledge of all genres of instrumental music
- Sound pedagogical skills in woodwind, brass, and percussion
- Ability to prepare numerous concerts each year
- Strong commitment to the program and its success
- Ability to collaborate with other departments in the school and district wide
- Supports and promotes the District’s Core Ethical Values with students, colleagues and families
