Job Summary: Enfield Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team. The School Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, helping them achieve their full potential in academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies.
- Stay current with best practices and methodologies in school psychology.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure and certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and professionals.
- Evidence-Based Practice: Utilize research and evidence-based methods to inform assessment and intervention strategies.
- Collaborative Practice: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Cultural Competence: Respect and incorporate students' cultural and linguistic backgrounds into interventions.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention during crises to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Ongoing Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.
