                                                                                DETAILS:
 
 
  • 9 ½ month school year position, on a 186 day calendar for 2018-19, with paid sick leave
  • Full-time, approximately 25 hours per week, non-exempt
  • District provided benefits package that includes health, dental, life and vision insurance
  • Salary starts at $14.76/hour
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Requires a valid commercial driver license (CDL) and school bus and passenger endorsement (S&P) OR be able to acquire appropriate licensing, endorsement, and training
  • Strongly prefers a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefers prior school bus driving experience
  • Requires the ability to perform the essential job functions & be at least 21 years old
  • Requires the ability to manage the physical demands of the job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable performance of the essential functions
  • Requires applicant to present a certificate annually from a health examiner indicating that they are physically qualified to operate district vehicles to transport students
  • Requires the ability to be dependable and punctual
  • Requires the ability to work independently, use good judgment, think quickly, and respond to situations in a calm manner
  • Requires the ability to remain flexible with the demands of the job without losing sight of the assignment
  • Requires the ability to effectively supervise children
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively with students in redirecting and using positive reinforcement
  • Require the ability to work with a diverse population
  • Requires the ability to maintain confidential information
  • Requires the ability to work as a team player and communicate with staff and parents
  • Requires willingness to complete job-related training as needed
