The Willard R-II School District is accepting applications for a Secondary Counselor position (Grades 9-12) for the 2019-20 school year. The position will be a full time (1.0 FTE) 205 day secondary counseling position at Willard High School. Applicants must possess valid DESE certification. A Master's degree in Counseling, and previous counseling experience is preferred. 
The successful applicant for this position will perform the following duties and possess the following skills:
  • ability to work effectively and collaboratively as an individual or as a team member 
  • ability to guide and counsel groups / individuals through the development of educational plans, career plans, and personal leadership skills
  • ability to implement the 9-12 school guidance curriculum
  • effectively consult with teachers, staff, and parents regarding developmental needs of students.
  • effectively assist with assessments / End of Course Exams
  • to assist with new student enrollment and student records
  • possess effective skills in communication (with students, parents, and staff members), and exhibit high levels of organization and time management skills.
