Job Description:
Esperanza Cyber Charter School (ECCS) located in North Philadelphia is currently accepting applications for a Math Interventionist Position. The Math Interventionist will provide direct intervention and progress monitoring for students who need support in math. The Math Interventionist will develop a student-centered menu of the group and individual strategies to close the achievement gap and strengthen student proficiency. The overarching goal of the Math Interventionist is to ensure that all students master grade-level essential standards and benchmarks, as well as meet adequate yearly growth goals.

Esperanza Cyber Charter School (ECCS) prepares students in grades Kindergarten through 12 to meet the challenges of living creatively and productively in an increasingly technologically sophisticated and interconnected world. ECCS will provide students with an academically rigorous, yet flexible, online learning program that tailors learning experiences to each child through a combination of curriculum choices and virtual and in-person tutoring and counseling. ECCS is targeted toward underserved and at-risk students who have not always found success in traditional schools. ECCS places students on a pathway to post-secondary success.

  • Valid state licensure for teaching preferred
  • Experience working with and developing programs for diverse groups of students
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English fluency) is a plus

  • Develop engaging online learning experiences
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to reinforce and remediate core standards and benchmarks
  • Analyze assessment data for performance trends and identify students who are struggling or underperforming in the area of math
  • Prepare differentiated lesson plans based on student grouping/tiering or gaps in achievement
  • Deliver specific, differentiated interventions designed to improve student achievement outcomes
  • Instruct small groups during live virtual class sessions
  • Use technology and one-on-one interaction to reinforce and reteach key concepts and Skills
  • Assess and provide timely feedback on student work
  • Progress monitor student growth and achievement
  • Communicate with parents, teachers, and school administration
  • Knowledge and understanding of best instructional practices
  • Ability to engage students actively in the learning process
  • Interact effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • An openness to learning new technologies
