PA Education Specialist Certificate in School Counseling
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will work under the direction of the Principal to determine student schedules
- Work with the Special Education department to support student needs
- Handle Crisis Intervention Issues, deals directly with Children and Youth Service Agencies as needed
- Teach Guidance Courses.
- Assist administration, teachers, parents, and students with truancy-related issues and participate in Attendance Improvement Plan development meetings.
- Work with instructional staff regarding guidance issues.
- Attend IEP Meetings, as requested.
- Coordinate 504 Agreements with families and teachers as requested.
- Attend required professional development sessions and/or seminars.
- Communicate with parents/ guardians/ students.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience
- Educational Specialist certification level I or II
- Experience in a K-12 school preferred
