        Ability to interact with students, staff,  parents, and community members  in a professional manner and
        in accordance with the Code of Professional Practice and Conduct for Educators.

        PA Education Specialist Certificate in School Counseling

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Will work under the direction of the Principal to determine student schedules
2. Work with the Special Education department to support student needs
3. Handle Crisis Intervention Issues, deals directly with Children and Youth Service Agencies as needed
4. Teach Guidance Courses.
5. Assist administration, teachers, parents, and students with truancy-related issues and participate in Attendance Improvement Plan development meetings.
6. Work with instructional staff regarding guidance issues.
7. Attend IEP Meetings, as requested.
8. Coordinate 504 Agreements with families and teachers as requested.
9. Attend required professional development sessions and/or seminars.
10. Communicate with parents/ guardians/ students.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education and Experience
   • Educational Specialist certification level I or II
   • Experience in a K-12 school preferred
