Degree in computer science, information technology, or similar preferred
CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification preferred
Minimum of 2 year's experience in information technology preferred.
Capable of working on a variety of operating systems including Windows, Apple IOS, and Linux.
Sound knowledge of IT hardware including computers, servers, and other peripherals.
Excellent understanding of software systems including network, enterprise, and office programs.
Ability to provide excellent customer service even in stressful situations.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Description:
The Technology Support  is responsible to assist with monitoring, operating, or coordinating and assists others in the operation of computer hardware and software to achieve desired results. Utilizes computer equipment, software, and diagnostic tools to perform a broad range of equipment maintenance and repair and computer operations assignments.

Responsibilities:
Aid in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and specialized mainframe technology.
Provide basic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for computer equipment and may assist with testing school laptops on a network to diagnose, hardware versus software problems.
Act as a liaison for the computing operation, communicating, resolving, and/or initiating the resolution of problems and concerns
Update supervisor on status of projects or technical issues.
Responding to customer requests and emergencies as needed.
Monitoring computer systems for malfunctions and errors.
Performing maintenance and updates on hardware and software systems as needed.
Installing new hardware such as computers, servers, and other peripherals.
Installing and updating software such as MS Office, antivirus, and operating systems.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues.
Implementing repairs and updates based on diagnostic assessments.
Generating error, diagnostic, and repair reports.
Providing customers with training on the operation and maintenance of various computer systems.
Keeping abreast of the latest developments in hardware, software, protocols, and diagnostic techniques.
Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, implement corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines as appropriate.
Maintain systems, databases, and web page.
Edit and debug computer output.
Transfer computer files between platforms.
Design and produce basic reports
At the direction of the IT Manager, administer user accounts.
Install software and installs and repairs hardware.
Consistently displays professionalism and is collaborative with all staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
