The Coatesville Area School District is seeking a candidate for the position of School Psychologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing initial evaluations, reevaluations, and Functional Behavior Assessments. The successful candidate will participate in the IST, RTII, and other intervention processes in the assigned building(s). Candidate must have expert knowledge of the state and federal regulations governing eligibility for special education services and Section 504 Service Agreements.
Essential Duties:
External Candidates must upload required clearances. This includes the Act 34 (State Criminal Clearance), Act 151 (Child Abuse) and Act 114 (FBI Clearance). All Clearances must be within 1 year of application date. Candidates not providing updated clearances will not be considered for employment.

Essential Duties:
- Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Administer diagnostic assessments to students based on identified and/or suspected areas of need.
- Lead feedback meetings with parents/guardians to communicate results of the formal evaluation/reevaluation process.
- Serve as a consultant to the Instructional Support Team to provide pre-referral intervention strategies.
- Provide direct individual and group counseling services to students who are experiencing academic and/or social-emotional difficulties.
- Collaborate/consult with individual teachers regarding learning or behavioral difficulties about students. Assist the general education and/or special education teacher in establishing behavioral management programs and/or classroom modifications to accommodate the learning needs of their students.
- Consult with parents/guardians of students who have been formally evaluated, about educational or behavioral strategies that can be utilized at home and at school at assist the child to reach his/her full potential.
- Other responsibilities related to the position as assigned by the Director of Pupil Services.
