THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION.

TITLE:                                    Full Service Community Schools (FSCS) Grant Coordinator
 
REPORTS TO:                       Superintendent of Schools or designee
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. Working knowledge of school operations, marketing, leading enrichment programs
  3. Experience in grant writing and management
  4. Experience in data management  
  5. Demonstrated leadership ability in working with students, staff, parents, and the public
  6. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  1. Bilingual, Spanish and English
  2. Experience in schools
 
JOB FUNCTION: 
 
To provide direction and leadership establishing and managing extended-day, -week and –year programs for PreK-12 learners of the district.
 
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
 
  1. Provides leadership, management and supervision of staff in the implementation of after school programs.
  2. Builds relationships with the school community and the community at large to plan and implement after school programs.
  3. Supervises and coaches after school staff in classroom management, behavior management, skill development and program delivery strategies.
  4. Builds communication with parents, teachers, school administration, and community leaders.
  5. Maintains accurate records of student data, federally mandated forms, time sheets and attendance tracking and curriculum implementation.
  6. Plans and delivers parent education workshops.
  7. Maintains all budget information in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
  8. Completes evaluation reports of after school staff and program development as requested by the Board of Education and the federal government.
  9. Assures that staff leave schools in acceptable order as agreed upon by building principals.
  10. Assists with recruitment and retention of staff and students to the after school program.  
  11. Plans and supervises the summer school program.
  12. Supervises alternative and extended-week programs.  May include some evenings and weekends.
  13. Assists in formulating additional grants for extended-learning programs.
  14. Ensures that all Board of Education policies and procedures are followed.
  15. Performs such other related duties as the Superintendent of Schools may from time to time assign.
  16. Travel to annual FSCS meetings in Washington, DC and communicate with federal program staff regarding our project
  17. Oversee and coordinate data collection in order to perform a comprehensive evaluation of program outcomes
 
 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:           Eleven-month year (including July for summer programming).  Salary range is $76,000 - $86,000 per year.
