Job Description:
  • Compilation/presentation of reported data.
  • Collecting incomplete data.
  • Analyzing data to determine PD topics, coaching steps, team topics.
  • NWEA, SBAC interims, trimester benchmark data/assessments, informal data collection in classrooms.
SRBI/Intervention
  • Identification of students in need of servicing (folder process).
  • Meeting with teachers to support implementation of T2 strategies prior to referral.
  • Creating documentation model for SRBI process at Center School.
  • Facilitation of all LA SIT meetings.
  • Analyzing student data, teacher concerns, determining eligibility, service models, etc.
  • Scheduling of upcoming meetings, management of student caseloads.
  • Allocating sharing permissions for teachers to have access to student documents.
  • Completion of SIT documents (with classroom teachers).
  • Piloting Grade 2 Spelling Groups.
Professional Development
  • 1/2 day PD planning, preparation, facilitation, follow-through.
  • Team meeting, Data meeting, embedded PD decisions and planning.
  • SRBI process (folders).
  • Tier 1, 2, and 3 support.
  • TC Staff Developer coordination/planning, etc. - admin.
Budget
  • Work with teachers and administration to prepare the school budget for reading and writing.
Work Schedule
Standard teacher work schedule. 

Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
Work in standard office and school building environments.

Qualifications Profile
Certification/License:
  • CT State Certification with an 113 Integrated Early Childhood/Special Ed., Nursery-K-Elem., 1-3 or 305 Elementary - 1-6; and 102 Remedial Reading and Remedial Language Arts, Grades 1-12 or an 097 Reading and Language Arts Consultant endorsements.
Experience
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
