NON-AFFILIATED
POSITION: Registered Nurse or LPN to work 1:1 with a student
(Full-time, school year / school hours, plus student transportation)
LOCATION: West Stafford School
HOURS: Monday - Friday, up to 6.0 hours per day (including student transportation)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ability to lift and transfer the student multiple times per day (up to 50 pounds)
• Administers medications orally and/or topically as required to meet individual student needs
• Supports student in maintaining good hygiene, including toileting and feeding
• Provides planning, implementation and documentation of health care plan for designated student, including recording of conditions and symptoms which are indicative of the student's condition
• Provides for the emotional and physical comfort of student
• Coordinates supplies and equipment related to student needs
• Other related tasks as prescribed by the student's physician, or assigned by the Director of Pupil Services / Building Principal
REQUIREMENTS: Connecticut Licensure; CPR / First Aid / AED Certification
SALARY: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
BENEFITS: Personal Days: 5; Sick Days: 15
Defined Contribution Plan: 50% match up to 6% of the base pay
Anthem BCBS HSA: 10% cost share, District pays 50% of deductible; or $1,200.00 waiver
Life Insurance: 1.5 times salary, cost covered by District
Long-Term Disability: cost covered by District
