Job Description: WorkspaceCT is a collaborative effort between C.E.S and Edadvance. Due to expanding programming, this new and innovative facility seeks a highly motivated candidate for the CT-certified (010, 085, 089) Business & Marketing Specialist position. This individual would be responsible for teaching and facilitating new business and marketing courses and enrichment opportunities for kids and adults. These courses could include but are not limited to Marketing, Personal Finance, Entrepreneurship, Business Law, and Finance.
A successful candidate will also function as a marketing manager for WorkspaceCT to leverage the existing marketing expertise of members of the C.E.S. and EdAdvance teams. The candidate would utilize the skills and knowledge from the classroom in a true-to-life environment. Maintain the organization's social media, website, and marketing campaigns. Create digital and physical marketing materials to promote the agency. Facilitate strategies for new areas for growth and help the staff to expand our marketing and promotion.
Major Responsibilities:
If applicable, to consult with districts, attend off campus events and represent WorkspaceCT in professional capacity.

Major Responsibilities:
- Teach a variety of business classes to students of all ages and abilities, including courses in finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship, including course planning, preparation, and assessment.
- Create and implement curriculum for a variety of business focused classes, enrichment opportunities, and afterschool offerings.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our classes and programs, including social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Create marketing materials, such as flyers and brochures, to promote our classes and programs.
- Analyze data and metrics to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Work closely with WorkspaceCT staff to help drive the marketing strategies for the business.
- Collaborate with the education team to identify areas for growth and improvement in our classes and programs.
- At least 5 years of experience teaching is preferred.
- Interest in working with students with a wide variety of ages and abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with social media and email marketing tools.
- Experience with data analysis and marketing metrics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Connecticut certification 010 (Business 7-12) or 085 (School Business Administrator) or 089 (Marketing Education 7-12)
- Prior experience teaching special education students (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Creative project management skills.
- Must be able to withstand the physical demands of frequent standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stretching, etc. as required to complete job responsibilities.
- Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this job.
