Under the supervision of the principal, the successful candidate works to plan, prepare, and deliver instruction to students as a whole group while differentiating the needs of the individual.  A teacher who is kind, compassionate, energetic, and enthusiastic will find Wallingford-Swarthmore to be a great professional haven. 
  • Plan, develop and implement a computer science education program guided by ISTE and CSTA standards for students in grades 9-12 
  • Facilitate active learning while using relevant pedagogical practices and instructional technology to support and differentiate instruction, particularly for students with special education needs and or English Language Learners (ELLs).
  • Observe and evaluate student performance outcomes:  monitor the progress of students’ academic growth and development to improve professional practice.
  • Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, assignments, and projects; provide appropriate and timely feedback.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Instructional 1 or II Computer Science certification
  • Valid Pennsylvania Instructional 1 or II in a related field and a willingness to pursue proper certification through PA Department of Education may be considered.
  • Prior experience preferred.
  • Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
