Entry Level Behavior Technician
Full Time/Academic Calendar
One Position

EdAdvance is seeking one qualified applicant to provide academic and behavioral support for students in a middle school program with imbedded specialized supports.
Major Responsibilities/Qualifications
  • Provide academic support (as directed by special education teacher)
  • Implement behavioral prevention and management strategies per program structure and individualized student needs
  • Collection and on-going maintenance of behavioral data collection
  • Other duties as may be assigned
  • Availability to work specified school hours and attend all required program meetings and trainings
  • Experience in de-escalation techniques or willingness to be trained
  • Experience working in a public and/or private school
  • Excellent professionalism and communication skills
  • Excellent attendance is required to perform all of the essential components of this position
  • Candidate must be proven to be responsible and reliable
  • Ability to perform physical restraint
  • Must have a valid CT driver’s license and insurance
  • Already have or be expected to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within 1 month of starting date
  • Must pass the ParaPro assessment within the first six months following employment
The Behavior Technician works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
